About the House
Elementares de Luz was born in Rio Grande do Sul, out of a meeting of dirigentes, Pais and Mães de Santo and workers of the spirituality who came together to raise a house dedicated to charity and to evolution through spiritual work.
Bringing together Umbanda, Apometria, study, mediumistic development and different spiritual bodies of knowledge and ritual.
In time, some members of the Elementares left for Australia, carrying that same flame with them and continuing, on the other side of the world, the work that had begun.
In Australia this path found in Casa de Umbanda Pai Pedro a sister house, strengthening the exchange of knowledge, experience and spiritual work.
Between Brazil and Australia, the Elementares keep alive the essence the House was born from: charity, learning and evolution.

It is from this essence that Elementares de Luz understands Umbanda.
At its origin, Umbanda made room for every spirit. For us that principle is still alive: spirituality must not be limited by who we are, where we come from, or by the form in which it manifests.
We understand Umbanda as a bridge between the material and the spiritual world, open to manifestation, to learning and to the work of charity. And we understand that this bridge is not confined to our own reality: every spiritual manifestation, from this or from other orbs, that finds in our Umbanda a path to charity and evolution will always be welcome.
Free, but with fundamento
Umbanda Livre does not mean Umbanda without fundamento.
Every house has its own history, its own fundamentos and its own way of working. No person, terreiro, federation or current, however, owns Umbanda or anyone else's spirituality.
As we also find in the Gospel of Thomas, Logion 3:
“The Kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you.”
The sacred already exists in every being. Religions and traditions can offer paths to develop it, but they do not own what lives inside each person.
All the Umbandas
We recognise and respect the diversity of Umbanda Tradicional, Branca, Popular, Cruzada, Traçada, Omolocô, Almas e Angola, Esotérica, Iniciática, Sagrada and Ramatís, along with the many Umbandas of African, Indigenous, Kardecist and regional influence.
We also respect and hold dialogue with paths of their own identity, such as Quimbanda and Jurema Sagrada, and with other spiritual traditions and currents.
Within this universalist view, Elementares also studies and uses Apometria and other spiritual tools and rituals, when they suit the purpose of each work.
We do not seek to define which Umbanda is the true one.
We seek to study, learn, serve and evolve, respecting the roots without building walls around them.
